NexDoor Shipping Terms & Conditions

Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of NexDoor Shipping's website, customer portal, warehouse address, shipping, shopping-assistance, pickup, and delivery services. By proceeding with our services provided , the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in full, Continued use of our services constitutes ongoing acceptance.
1. Our services
NexDoor Shipping provides Air freight, Sea freight, Online shopping assistance, a U.S. warehouse address, package tracking and handling, and delivery services between the United States and Jamaica. NexDoor Shipping currently has no physical customer location. Air shipments are generally scheduled three times each week. All schedules and transit estimates are approximate and may change because of carriers, weather, holidays, customs, security checks, or events outside our reasonable control. NexDoor Shipping reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at its discretion without prior notice.
2. Your account and mailbox code
You must provide accurate, current contact, identification, Tax Registration Number, package, customs, and delivery information. Keep your password and NDOOR mailbox code secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for ensuring merchants include your correct name and mailbox code on every package.
3. Rates, fees, and payment
Published rates apply according to the shipment's actual or chargeable weight and the service selected. Processing, customs duties, taxes, delivery, storage, insurance, special handling, and other disclosed charges may apply separately. Sea freight, oversized, fragile, commercial, or unusual shipments may require a custom quote. Charges are due before release or delivery unless NexDoor Shipping agrees otherwise in writing. Payments methods include cash, bank transfer, or an available online payment method. Prices are subjected to change without notice. NexDoor Shipping will not be held liable for any inconvenience resulting from a customer’s failure to read or take note of this notice.
4. Online shopping assistance
Shopping-assistance requests must be paid in full before an order is placed, including the item cost, merchant charges, taxes, shipping, and any disclosed service fee. Customers must confirm item details before purchase is made. Merchant availability, price, cancellation, warranty, and return rules remain the merchant's responsibility. Payments are non- refundable once purchase is made.NexDoor Shipping is not the manufacturer or seller of the purchased item.
5. Prohibited and restricted items
You must not ship illegal goods or items prohibited by law, customs, a carrier, or our Prohibited & Restricted Items Policy. Some items require advance approval, permits, special packaging, or additional charges. NexDoor Shipping may inspect, refuse, hold, return, surrender, or arrange lawful disposal of a shipment when required for safety, compliance, or carrier acceptance. Related costs remain the customer's responsibility unless the law requires otherwise.
6. Customs and declarations
You are responsible for truthful descriptions, values, invoices, permits, and supporting documents. Jamaican Customs and other authorities determine duties, taxes, inspection, seizure, and release. NexDoor Shipping may assist with processing but does not control those decisions. Fines, duties, taxes, storage, return, or disposal costs caused by inaccurate or incomplete information will be charged to the customer.
7. Packaging, weight, and fragile goods
Merchants and customers are responsible for suitable packaging. Chargeable weight may be based on actual or dimensional weight where applicable. Contact us before sending televisions, electronics, glass, liquids, furniture, oversized items, or other fragile goods. Acceptance does not guarantee that an item is insurable or suitable for ordinary handling.
8. Delivery and identification
Packages are released for delivery only after required charges and verification are complete. We may request government-issued identification, authorization, or a signature. When a package is ready, the delivery team will contact the customer to arrange delivery to the requested location. Delivery is currently free in Port Maria, Oracabessa, Stewart Town, Ocho Rios, and St. Ann’s Bay. Other areas may attract a small delivery fee. You must provide a safe, accurate delivery location and an available recipient. Additional attempts or address corrections may incur a charge.
9. Storage and unclaimed packages
Collect or arrange delivery promptly after a package is marked ready, and keep your contact details current so the team can reach you. Subject to applicable law and reasonable notice, a package remaining unclaimed for 30 days may be returned, donated, recycled, or disposed of. Any future storage charge will apply only after the applicable rate and effective days (7) have been published or otherwise disclosed in advance.
10. Claims and service issues
Inspect packages promptly. Report visible loss or damage within 48 hours after pickup or delivery and provide the package number, photos, purchase evidence, invoice, packaging, and other reasonably requested information. Keep the item and all packaging while a claim is reviewed. Claims are subject to carrier, merchant, insurer, customs, and applicable legal requirements. 11. Cancellations and refunds
Submit cancellation requests as soon as possible and, where applicable, at least 24 hours before a scheduled service. A shipment, purchase, or delivery already processed may not be cancellable. Refunds exclude non-refundable merchant, carrier, customs, payment-processing, shopping-assistance, and completed-service costs unless the law requires otherwise.
12. Responsibility, Risk and Liability
All shipments are transported at the customer’s own risk.
NexDoor Shipping assumes zero liability for loss, damage, delay, or errors related to shipments. To the extent permitted by law, NexDoor Shipping is responsible only for direct loss proven to have resulted from our failure to exercise reasonable care. We are not responsible for indirect, special, or consequential loss; merchant defects; ordinary wear; inadequate packaging; customs or carrier action; prohibited goods; or events outside our reasonable control. Any declared value, insurance, carrier limitation, and mandatory consumer law will apply. The maximum settlement for uninsured shipments is capped at US$50.00. Nothing in these terms excludes a right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Privacy, communications, and changes
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. We may send service messages about accounts, packages, invoices, delivery, security, and policy changes. Optional marketing messages follow the preferences available to you. We may update these terms by publishing a new effective version and requesting acceptance when appropriate.
14. Amendments
NexDoor Shipping reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting.
15. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue promptly.
